The key to good health is a good digestive system, because all disease most likely starts with the digestive system. The digestive systems main function is absorb nutrients and put them into your bloodstream so they can be shipped to the cells in your body. Diarrhea, constipation, stomach ulcers, bad fingernails, pain, low testosterone, low concentration are all symptoms that tell you that you are not getting the right amount of nutrients in your body. You should LISTEN to your body to know how your health is doing. If your not getting brown, snake like poop, that is a sign that you should pay more careful attention to how you eat.

Actually what really determines digestion is:

1) How well you break foods up with your mouth and saliva
2. A balanced diet that contains water, fats, proteins, carbs, vitamins, antioxidants, minerals
3) The type of food and whether the food has a poison or toxin in it
4) How much you have of one substance per certain time. So it is how fast you eat something. So if you have too much of one substance, it becomes TOXIC. Even water, in excessive amounts per time can be toxic. Too much of a good thing in a certain amount of time can be a bad thing.
5) How well you mix certain foods with each other.
6) Good Sleep ( Sleep helps your digestive system work better.
7) Exercise (Exercise helps your digestive work better) 8) The amount of food you have stuffed up in your digestive system. It is generally best to eat every 4 hours = 3 meals per day, or 6 SMALL meals per day. But actually, how much you eat per day depends on your weight and your bodily calorie intake, and of course, your digestive system and metabolism, so really, it is different for every person.

After you have absorbed the right NUTRIENTS and FOODS, they need to be shipped to the cells of your body. There are thousands of cells in your body, and so if you do not get the nutrients that these cells need, than these cells will die, and your health will diminish. According to scientific theory, which has a lot of evidence supporting it, the cells in our body need 6 things to survive:

Water + Oxygen + Organic Molecules + Fats(YES FATS!!!) + Carbohydrates + Protein

These are things that your body MUST get(according to theory though). Fats are NOT an option in the diet. Your body NEEDS FATS! However you should AVOID trans fats, because these are the fats that your body does not have the ability to digest and break down(it lacks an enzyme in order to do so)

The cell has a superimpermeable membrane that allows certain substances in and keeps other substances out. Note that the system is not perfect, and some toxins DO get in. But keep in mind that the cell keeps away the TOXINS, and brings in the NUTRIENTS.

Other things such as Vitamins and Antioxidants and minerals help your digestive system work better. Without antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, your body cannot absorb the nutrients it needs for growth.

It is important to note that NATURE’S foods are NOT NECESSARILY healthier than processed foods. Even Nature itself has its poisons and note that some plants and animals are EVEN MORE toxic that the processed foods that we eat on a daily basis. For example, some foods such as certain wild berry’s cannot be eaten. These berries contain toxins that can cause diarrhea, organ failure, and sometimes death. Another instance is the SEEDS in an apple. You can’t die from eating one apple’s seeds, but if you eat too many seeds, they have known to be toxic to your body. The reason is because there is a substance in there that the apple has evolved with. Its main reason for the toxic seeds is to protect itself from predators. It DOES NOT WANT to be EATEN!!! That’s why the apple has evolved.

Another animals meat is another animals poison. This is true because we humans are unable to eat the Death Cap Mushroom, while Rabbits CAN.

For my New Year’s Resolution I decided to eat healthy and to do exercises for every part of my body at least once a week? So I need to get familiar with some healthy foods and good exercises! Help!!!!!!

So in 6 weeks time (first week over already) I will be returning back to school and since I am off for so long I have time to improve my skin, nails, hair, diet etc.
So tips for good skin, shiny and healthy looking hair and some exercise tips would be much appreciated.
Also any make up tips? I have very pale skin and green eyes if that’s any help.

I use proactive formy f ace and it makes my face very clear. But if you have oily skin maybe get some oil blotting paper. For hair maybe use herbal esensas shampoo and conditioner. I don’t know much about nails I just paint mine. And for makeup I just use a cover up and a light brown eyeshadow black mascara and a light pink lip gloss..

Eat less, move more. Eat four to six small meals a day with breakfast being the largest and dinner the smallest. Eat the majority of your calories early in the day. Avoid sodas and junk foods.

My grandma always said you should “Eat like a king in the morning, a queen in the afternoon, and a pauper in the evening.”

YOu need to drink alot of water and get you matabolism going! Heres how:
THIS WORKS FOR SURE

this may seem nasty but it works!!!!!!!!!!!! trust me.

1. Drink 1-2 tblespoons of APPLE CIDER VINEGAR!(twice daily) this kind of vinegar helps your body burn fat! look it up. (its all over the web)

2. Drink Green Tea. Perferably in the Morning and Evening. This also burns fat by increasing your matabalism. look it up (its all over the web)

3. For breakfast eat = half a grapefruit! grapefruit is great for you and it takes more energy to digest than most fruits. Guess what that means? your body burns more fat!

4. If your really serious take a small amount of water and mix 1/2 teaspoon of CAYENNE Pepper (or more) and swallow that really fast. Chilli Pepper works too. Its not that hot and if you swallow it fast only the back of your throat will burn a little. These peppers make your matabolism go really fast NATURALLY!

It is called the m&m diet. I want you to get a big bag of m&m’s and have one with a large glass of watter every two hours. If you can do this you will loose weight. OK maybe it is simply drinking more water but the m&m’s make it more fun.

I try to train pilates at least 4 times a week for everything from 30 min. to a hour.I bicycle 4 days a week 30 min. How long is it before you start to notice a change? :) If you have any good recipes please post them…

I’ve never gone through pregnancy before. But I used to have a significant tummy and I managed to get rid of it by doing abdominal exercises.

A high protein meal may not be suitable for you unless you are doing body-building or vigorous exercises. Excess proteins would be converted to fatty acid which might not be what you want. A meal high in carbohydrates should work well on you since carbohydrates are the best source of energy for your daily requirements (that’s why marathoners do carbo-loading before the run, they don’t do protein-loading).

Trimming or slimming down should be a gradual process. If you lose weight drastically in a short period of time, the loose skin would be more difficult to get rid of. So give yourself 3 – 6 months to “notice the change”.

These are some very good ab exercise, they help to firm up the abdominal area.

1. Bicycle Maneuver

Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
Place your fingers on the side of your head just behind your ears.
Push your lower back into the floor flattening the arch and hold.
Bring your knees up to about a 45-degree angle and slowly go through a bicycle pedal motion.
Touch your left elbow to your right knee, then your right elbow to your left knee.
Breath evenly throughout the exercise.

2. Basic Crunch

Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
Place your fingertips to the side of your head just behind your ears.
Push your lower back into the floor flattening the arch and hold.
Curl up slowly so both your shoulders lift off the floor a few inches.
Hold for a count of 2 and return to the start position.
Tip: Don’t clasp your fingers behind your head. Don’t tuck your chin to your chest, keep your head up.

3. Half Curl

Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
Place your palms on your thighs and curl up until your fingertips reach your knees as you breathe out. Return to the start position.
Tip: Don’t tuck your chin to your chest, keep your head up.

4. Vertical Leg Crunch

Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
Place your fingertips to the side of your head just behind your ears. Push your lower back into the floor flattening the arch and hold.
Extend your legs straight up in the air, crossed at the ankles with a slight bend in the knee.
Contract your abdominal muscles by lifting your torso toward your knees.
Make sure to keep your chin off your chest with each contraction.
Exhale as you contract upward; inhale as you return to the starting

5. Reverse Crunch

Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
Place your fingertips to the side of your head just behind your ears.
Crossing your feet at the ankles, lift your feet off the ground to the point where your knees create a 90-degree angle.
Push your lower back into the floor flattening the arch and hold.
Your hips will slightly rotate and your legs will reach towards the ceiling with each contraction.
Exhale as you contract; inhale as you return to the starting position

6. Alternating ‘Supermans’

Lie face down on a mat with your arms stretched above your head (like superman)
Raise your right arm and left leg about 5-6 inches off the ground (or as far as you comfortably can).
Hold for 3 seconds and relax.
Repeat with the opposite arm and leg.

7. Plank Exercise

Lie face down on a mat with your elbows right next to your chest, palms facing down.
Push off the floor, raising up onto toes and elbows with palms flat, back flat angling up from toes to shoulders.
Hold abdominals tight, and keep your spine neutral.
Tilt your pelvis and contract your abdominals to prevent your rear end from sticking up in the air.
Hold for 30 to 60 seconds, and then lower; repeat.

8. Crossover crunches

Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
Cross your right leg over your left leg so your right ankle is resting on your left knee.
Place your fingertips to the side of your head just behind your ears.
Begin a crunch, but twist your torso and touch your left elbow to your right knee.
Return to the starting position and repeat for the desired number of repetitions before switching over to the other side.

9. Oblique Crunches

Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
Slowly drop your legs to the left and let your knees rest near the floor.
Place your fingertips to the side of your head just behind your ears.
Push your lower back into the floor flattening the arch and hold.
Curl up slowly so both your shoulders lift off the floor a few inches.
Hold for a count of 2 and return to the start position.
Repeat for the desired number of reps and switch to the other side.
