The pocket is for putting your ipod/phone in, you’re right , it’s so that the wire can go up your bag and put the earphones in from behind your neck rather than getting caught in the front when you’re running best of luck with the fitness kick, I’m on one too at the mo! X
The pockets are also for your keys, Fleur Hardcore runners like to put electrolyte packages (those hydration replenishment stuff) in there as well, I believe.
